What is ReefFloat?
ReefFloat has been developed specifically to offer yacht harbours, marinas, and pontoon manufacturers an alternative to EPS foam floats.
100% Recycleable: Just crush it into hardcore at the end of its life.
Inert in the Marine Environment: If chunks do fall off, or a pontoon is lost in a storm, the float won’t cause harm to the ocean or marine life.
Stronger & Longer: Significantly stronger than EPS concrete floats with a longer life span.
Heavier: Lower CoG makes the pontoon more stable and gives it higher inertia to manage wave action.
In Situ Float Replacement
Using a ballasted ScaffFloat, we can replace floats in the water. Reducing disruption to berth holders and minimising revenue loss.
How is it made?
Firstly,
We use our special technology to make an ultra-low-density float core.
This finger float has been made at 300 kg/m3.
Next,
We cast it in a high-strength concrete skin and grout in the stud bar connectors.
Finally,
We install it under the pontoon.
