ScaffFloat Files Patent and Trademark via Dehns for Reef Float™

ScaffFloat is pleased to announce a major step in securing the long-term viability of its new product, Reef Float™. We have successfully filed patents and trademark applications for our foam-free concrete floats through our specialist partners, Dehns, Patent and Trademark Attorneys.

This process protects our core innovation: a revolutionary buoyant core made from ultra-low-density waterproof concrete, housed within high-strength engineered concrete skins. This patented combination provides superior strength and zero environmental liability compared to outdated EPS foam technology.

Securing our intellectual property ensures that as we move toward full product certification and commercial availability in Autumn 2026, our partners can invest in the Reef Float solution with confidence, knowing they are adopting a legally protected, cutting-edge technology.

Philippa Power, Head of Dehns’ Bristol office, and the patent attorney working with ScaffFloat, said: “It is exciting to be working with ScaffFloat again to protect their Intellectual Property and thus help them to grow their business. The Bristol Office of Dehns Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys is ideally situated to serve businesses in the South West. I look forward to our continued working further with ScaffFloat and other innovative SMEs in the region.”
